Everybody hates a stuffy or runny nose. It’s uncomfortable, unsightly, embarrassing and causes dry skin around the nose thanks to tons of tissues. Here are five simple home remedies you can easily whip up to treat the symptoms:
1. Apple cider vinegar
Mix 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a bowl of steaming hot water. Inhale the steam from above the bowl with a towel covering your head, creating a steam bath cocoon.
Mix ground horseradish with a tablespoon of honey. Place the paste on your tongue and inhale deeply for as long as possible. Swallow the mixture.
3. Mint essential oil
Place a few drops of mint essential oil onto a cloth. Inhale deeply with your nose in the cloth for as long as possible.
Chewing on fresh garlic cloves will destroy your breath but also a runny nose. You can either eat or spit out the garlic after chewing for a few minutes.
Chew on some fresh ginger.
