Turmeric, a tasty spice, has been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times and as part of Indian culture. More recently, scientific studies have proven that it can contribute to the prevention of cancer, dementia, nausea and general detoxification.
Use turmeric with the following recipe to get the maximum benefits:
1/2 tablespoon of ginger
1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
1/6 tsp turmeric
A pinch of cardamom
17 oz/ 500 ml water
1/2 cup of milk (4 oz)
Add some lemon juice or slices (optional)
A little honey, if desired
1. Mix together all dry ingredients.
2. Pour 17 oz / 500 ml of boiling water over the mixture.
3. Stir until mixed well. Add hot milk of you wish. Do not strain.
